CLARIFICATION ON COMMUTATION OF PENSION

       Government of India had clarrified that personnel retired between 01 Jan 2006 and 02 Sep 2008, expired without excercising option for commutation of pension on revision of pay as per Sixth CPC, are also eligible for additional value of commutaion of pension in accordance with OM No : 38/79/08-P& P(G) dated 27 Oct 2010. The issue was came into the light of Bureau on 28 Dec 2010 on search for the latest updates of CPC recommendations.

2.      Bureau had processed two in cases falls in category ibid in respect of following late SOs with PCDA(Pension) Allahabad for issuance of corrigendum PPOs in favour of NOK of late SOs:-

     (a)     Late Inder Singh, U/Adh(QA), 00427-W retired on 31 Aug 2007 and expired on 17 Aug 2008.

     (b)     Late Manohar Lal, U/Adh(Power), 00315-S retire on 30 Sep 2007 and expired on 09 Oct 2007.

3.     The NOK of above named late SOs each will be benifited by approximatelt 2.3 Lakhs as lumsum amount of commutaion value of pension.
