TYPES OF RELEASE
The pensionery benefits of Coast Guard enrolled persons are governed by CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972 as amended from time to time, incorporating the benefits as per recommendation of the VIth Central Pay Commission. Pension is admissible to permanent employees who retire or are retired with a qualifying service of not less than ten years. Temporary employees who retire on superannuation or invalidation after rendering not less than ten years of service or retire voluntarily after 20 years continuous service are also eligible for pension. The different classes of Pensions are:-
Superannuation Pension Rule 35 of CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972.
Retiring Pension (Voluntary Retirement) Rule 48-A of CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972.
Invalid Pension Rule 38 of CCS (pension) Rules, 1972.
Family Pension Rule 54 of CC (Pension) Rules, 1972.
Disability Pension Under CCS (EOP) Rules, 1972.
Pro-rata Pension Under CCS (Pension) Rules,1972 Appendix 11.
